New “Need for Speed: Most Wanted” Features Dodge Challenger, Charger

One of the year’s biggest racing games Need for Speed: Most Wanted just hit shelves a few weeks ago, and as gamers work their way through each level, they unlock an extensive list of the best cars ever made including several Dodge models.

The Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger made the cut in this year’s Need for Speed alongside the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Perfromante, and the Aston Martin V12 Vantage. The SRT Viper GTS also made the cut, giving the Chrysler LLC family a substantial representation in the game.

In Need for Speed: Most Wanted, drivers get to race against their friends through city streets in the world’s premiere sports cars. If they win, they get points to upgrade their car’s tires, body, chassis, or transmission. So far, the game has gotten rave reviews. Critics have praised it for giving car lovers a chance to take some of their dream cars through their paces and getting many chances to crash them too. The Challenger and Charger fit right into a world of gorgeous, high-performance cars, and with the game’s E-10 rating, young gamers can learn to love these great cars before they can even drive.

Dodge’s Juiced-Up Charger to Appear at SEMA Show

The 2012 SEMA show is next week in Las Vegas, and Dodge will be bringing a souped up version of their old favorite the Charger to the show.

On the outside, the Charger Juiced will have a body-color split cross hair grille with Mopar grille badge, matte black hood graphics and decklid graphics, and Mopar’s exclusive 20-inch lightweight wheels. On the inside, the Charger Juiced will have a 650-horsepower Viper V10 engine, and the driver will get a luxurious interior with black leather seats, a matte black aluminum instrument panel, Mopar’s pistol-grip shifter, and carpet floor mats.

Dodge has already released some pictures of the Charger Juiced, and at first glance, it is definitely not a car that will blend into a crowd. The Metallic Copperhead paint job is classy while also being very cool and distinctive. Fans of the Charger will likely drool over the Juiced and get some ideas for modifications and add-ons to their own Charger. Luckily at the SEMA show, they are in the perfect place to pick up some of those add-ons and upgrades.

Viper Back at the New York International Auto Show

After a brief hiatus, the Viper has made a triumphant return at the New York International Auto Show.

The 2013 SRT Viper, formally the Dodge Viper, was looking slick rolling out onto the floor of the auto show with a bright cherry-red coat against the black and grey SRT backdrop. Chrysler Group was eager to show off the updated (and all-leather) interior, the 18-speaker stereo system, new stability and traction control, and of course the all-aluminum, 8.4-liter V-10 engine. Road & Track even got video of Viper handlers revving up the engine before the show out in Los Angeles. The video is available below. For car lovers, the sound of that engine will be music to their ears.

So far, the unveiling of the Viper has been one of the highlights of the New York Auto Show. Fox News said that the Viper flat-out stole the show with “new levels of sexy enhanced by modern technology,” and the Los Angeles Times praised the Viper’s engine saying it had “more venom under the hood.”

Overall, most of the press agrees that the Viper has fully lived up to the massive hype leading up to the show, and it is easy to see why. This is a car that demands attention. The look is so visually striking that when it is in a room, it is tough to look at anything else, and luckily, the Viper has an engine and an interior to match. Chrysler Group should be proud of their work with the Viper. They gave this iconic car a truly spectacular welcome back.
