2013 Dodge Charger Daytona Showed Off at LA Auto Show

Muscle car fans, rejoice, for the 2013 Dodge Charger Daytona is making a comeback.

The new model will be on full display at the 2012 Los Angeles International Auto Show over this upcoming weekend. The Daytona brand of Chargers began in 2006 and continued up until 2009. Sporting the nickname of “winged warrior” by the fans, it’s notorious for having a unique look and being a powerhouse on the racetrack. And now it’s back once again for racing fans to drool over.

The 2013 Dodge Charger Daytona will be available in the Charger R/T and Charger R/T Road and Track trim levels. It’s going to be a very limited run with only 2,500 units built. As far as choices go if you decide to get into one of the new cars, colors come in Daytona Blue, Bright White, Billet Silver, or Pitch Black.

Regardless of the color you choose, the Charger Daytona comes with black hood stripes, matching black vinyl roof wrap, and exclusive 20-inch polished aluminum wheels with five spokes and gloss black painted pockets. Also included in the package is a Daytona Blue engine cover, paddle shifters with manual model for the five-speed auto transmission, as well as performance steering and suspension.

Underneath the hood is the a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 capable of 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque. The 2013 Dodge Chrarger R/T will come with a price tag of $32, 990 and the Charger R/T Road and Track going for $36,495.

Dodge Preps More Blacktop Models

Dodge is embracing the dark side for a new special run of their vehicles. The Dodge Avenger, Challenger R/T and Charger R/T are now joining the popular Blacktop lineup.

The Dodge Blacktop was an resounding success with the Dodge Charger. It makes sense to look to include even more popular models to the list. Being part of this new special edition run means providing the consumer with something instantly recognizable on the street that stands out from any other Dodge car. Any Dodge product with the Blacktop name means a focus on giving the models a sleek make-over. Having the title attached brings with it the definition of have a design that is dark, menacing, and stylish. Dodge Dart Earns Top Safety Pick

Amongst the numerous rave reviews and an upward sales swing, there’s another honor that the 2013 Dodge Dart gets to wear now. The US government has given the vehicle the highest rating in the five-star rating program.

Proving that safety was a major concern for the designers of the Dart, the sedan has passed with flying colors. It received five stars in the front crash test category, five starts in the side crash test category, and four starts in the rollover crash category.

In case you still weren’t’ convinced of the safety of the Dart, then the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety should help that. The Dart earned their Top Safety Pick as well. In order to obtain that, the car must earn good performance in moderate overlap frontal, side, rollover, and rear impact crash tests done by the IIHS.

The safety suite that the Dart boosts includes 10 standard airbags, reactive front head restraints. There’s even optional Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection. With all the combination of ways the Dart is designed to keep you safe, it’s no surprise that it’s the safest vehicle in its class.

Dodge Grand Caravan is the #1 Minivan in America

September was already a good month to be boastful about for the auto industry. Chrysler in particular finished the month much better than expected. Dodge was all smiles about the report, in particular to the news that the 2013 Dodge Dart was really starting to pick up the steam on the sales floor. That wasn’t the only thing, however, that the company would’ve been pleased to find out about because in the minivan category there was another surprise.

The Dodge Grand Caravan is leading the pack of minivans available on the market. It’s placed first for the month with 108,127 units. That places it well above the closest competitor, the Honda Odyssey. At the current rate, there’s no little doubt that it will be the best selling minivan of the year.

The 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan is also on the way. The new minivan will be coming with all sorts of new enhancements to improve on the already winning formula. It will have the lowest starting US MSRP of just $19,995 which is $1,000 less than in 2012. You can purchase the vehicle in all new colors including Blue Streak, Maximum Steel, and Billet Silver.
