Has the Dodge Demon accidentally been revealed?  For the last week, Dodge has been teasing muscle car lovers with the first look at the Dodge Demon which was supposed to be during the New York International Auto Show.  Thanks to some clever sleuthing, however, a first look at the Dodge Demon may have appeared right under everyone’s noses.

Motor Authority took a closer look at the latest trailer for the new movie in “The Fast and the Furious” franchise, “The Fate of the Furious.”  It’s no secret that Dodge and the movie series have a long and loving relationship as the drivers in the films, especially Vin Diesel’s character, have a love for Dodge and other FCA cars.  “The Fast and Furious” has always made Dodge look amazing on screen.  It should be no surprise that the filmmakers would be allowed to work with the latest and greatest from Dodge and that may mean that the Demon will be making an appearance in the film.

Motor Authority believes this to be true and they may have spotted the Demon in a new video that shows Diesel in a video he posted to his Facebook page that may have shown the Dodge Demon in the background.  Combine that with the timelines of the film’s release and the New York auto show both happening on April 12th, and it seems clear that the Demon won’t just be making it’s auto show debut, but also a film debut.

Can’t wait to see what crazy stunts the “Fast and Furious” people put together if the Dodge Demon manages to make it to the big screen.

The Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Provides a Cheaper Alternative to the SRT Hellcat

Dodge Challenger Scat Pack - Dodge Dealer NY

The Dodge Challenger Hellcat is an mighty enticing offer. A powerful muscle car that allows for 707 horsepower, who wouldn’t want to drive home in that. Of course, that doesn’t mean that every person who dreams about racing down a road in the Hellcat can. People may not know this, but cars can be expensive. So what is a muscle car road warrior to do? What other options do they have if they want a powerful Challenger? Motor Authority may have found an answer.

The answer comes in the form of the Dodge Challenger Scat Pack. The rebirth of the 1968 trim package gives the modern driver the opportunity to find a cheaper alternative to the most powerful muscle car on the market.

Motor Authority created a package showing off the features of the Challenger’s new Scat Pack. The way they see it, and even title the video as such, is that this is the half-priced Hellcat. The Challenger SRT Hellcat has 707 horsepower in it and the Scat Pack trim package has 485 horsepower 6.4-liter HEMI V-8. It’s not quite the same, but Motor Authority certainly makes a compelling case.

Dodge Charger Also Getting SRT Hellcat Upgrade

In the world of speed, power, and performance, the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is all the talk right now.  Considering the speed the Challenger Hellcat is capable of (707 horsepower!?) it should come as no surprise.  However, there is another Dodge vehicle that is being forgotten about in all this talk and it will also be getting a Hellcat upgrade.

The new 2015 Dodge Charger was first shown a few months ago at the New York Auto Show.  Later, Chrysler released their five-year plan where details were given on to what to expect from various brands and their vehicles.  The list also included the confirmation of the Challenger getting its SRT enhancement.  Also on that list was another and it was the new Charger.

Now that SRT is showing what the Challenger Hellcat is able to do, how will that translate to the Charger?  Will it be getting an engine that will unleash 707 horsepower?  Motor Authority quotes the SAE filing for the Hellcat’s power rating and it covers both the Challenger and the Charger.  “This means that the 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat is destined to be the most powerful sedan to ever hit the market.”

Dodge loves looking for a new kind of performance in their favorite vehicles are definitely getting a treat this year.  For more information on the upcoming 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and other Dodge products be sure to contact us at Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge.  You can also view our new and used inventory online.  Like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and visit our YouTube page for more auto news and special offers.
