Woodward Dream Cruise Will Get a Dodge Surprise

The Woodward Dream Cruise is coming up and many are anticipating what Dodge has in store.  They’ve set people’s minds into thinking of the possibilities after the Tim Kuniskis, Dodge’s President and CEO, announced that the brand does have a surprise in store for the event.

As these teases tend to be, it was an announcement without a hint of specificity.  He made it clear that the plans involve celebrating the brand’s 100th anniversary.  “We’re going to do some fun stuff at Dream Cruise this year.” (source: mlive.com)

The Woodward Dream Cruise is seen by many who participate as an annual rite of summer.  Not too shabby for an event that had the humble beginnings of being a fundraiser for a soccer field.  It has since transformed into one of the world’s largest single day automotive events.  The day draws in some 1.5 million people from across the globe and more than 40,000 classic cars.  All of drivers assemble to recapture the nostalgic glory of the 50s and the 60s.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Roars Like a Beast

Half the joy in a super car is seeing the speeds it is fully capable of.  The other half is just listening to the beast roar when the engine is revved.

Dodge is giving the muscle car a kick in the ass with their newly, and long awaited, Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.  The engine is said to be powerful, however, Dodge hasn’t been able to give out the full specs as of yet.  They need more time to make this engine the most powerful they’ve produced.

In the meantime, Auto Evolution was able to get videos of seeing 3 Challengers in action.  Taken out on Mount Evans in Colorado, one of the 3 Challengers happened to be a Hellcat.  The engineers in charge of the Challengers let the recorders see, and hear, the Challengers rev up.

It is a fantastic comparison to be heard.  The SRT Hellcat just has this bite to it.  It certainly is a crowd pleaser.  Click the link to head on over to the article to see the videos and the Challengers in action.
