What’s Next for the Dodge Grand Caravan?

Change is in the future for the Dodge brand.  As Dodge moves further towards a concentration of performance in their muscle car line-up, the big question becomes what is going to happen to their other models, like the Dodge Grand Caravan.  The current production of the Grand Caravan is slated to end in 2019.  So what is next for the crossover?

In an article in the Windsor Star, Sam Fiorani, the VP of global vehicle forecasting with AutoForecast Solutions had some thoughts at what the future for the Grand Caravan may be.  His thoughts is that the Grand Caravan will be going on ice and be replaced by a new version of the Chrysler Pacifica or something all new.  The Grand Caravan is an older crossover and anything that comes next will certainly something new.

A new Pacifica seems reasonable.  It’s been getting critical love and the sales certainly show that Chrysler should concentrate on pushing it as their premier minivan.  Giving it another option that is aimed at the same buyers of the Grand Caravan is certainly a great idea.
