Ron Burgundy Gives Dodge Durango a Bump

Ron Burgandy Dodge Durango

There was a time, a time before YouTube. When the local anchorman reigned supreme. There was one man, Ron Burgandy. He was a god amongst mere mortals. He had a voice that could make a wolverine purr and suits so fine they made Sinatra look like a hobo. Times have changed in media though. But that doesn’t mean that Ron Burgandy is going to fade away.

Dodge teamed up with the famous Anchorman, who happens to have a new movie about his life coming out, to promote the Dodge Durango. In the ads, not only has Ron Burgandy shown his love and admiration, but he’s also assaulted, both physically and verbally, a pair of dancers and won a staring contest against a horse.

The ads are certainly not the most professional ever made, but then Ron Burgandy is not known to play by the rules. As people well know, he’s a trend setter. His thinking outside the box has attracted a lot of attention to the Durango.

Since airing at the beginning of October, the ads have garnered a ton of views. Over a million to be a tad more precise. In a survey done by YouGov BrandIndex, the Durango’s buzz has increased substantially. Also seeing an increase is the purchase consideration, which had previously been 16% is now, thanks to the golden pipes of Ron Burgandy, up to 20%.

Ron Burgundy has spoken, there’s no beating the Dodge Durango. Stay classy Dodge.

The 2014 Dodge Durango has landed the ultimate celebrity endorsement.  There is no one better than Ron Burgundy, the Anchorman, to have telling people what they should do.  After-all, he is Ron Burgundy, people know him.  People wouldn’t talk to someone unless he was 100 percent right about everything.
