Dodge’s Juiced-Up Charger to Appear at SEMA Show

The 2012 SEMA show is next week in Las Vegas, and Dodge will be bringing a souped up version of their old favorite the Charger to the show.

On the outside, the Charger Juiced will have a body-color split cross hair grille with Mopar grille badge, matte black hood graphics and decklid graphics, and Mopar’s exclusive 20-inch lightweight wheels. On the inside, the Charger Juiced will have a 650-horsepower Viper V10 engine, and the driver will get a luxurious interior with black leather seats, a matte black aluminum instrument panel, Mopar’s pistol-grip shifter, and carpet floor mats.

Dodge has already released some pictures of the Charger Juiced, and at first glance, it is definitely not a car that will blend into a crowd. The Metallic Copperhead paint job is classy while also being very cool and distinctive. Fans of the Charger will likely drool over the Juiced and get some ideas for modifications and add-ons to their own Charger. Luckily at the SEMA show, they are in the perfect place to pick up some of those add-ons and upgrades.

Dodge Dart Earns Top Safety Pick

Amongst the numerous rave reviews and an upward sales swing, there’s another honor that the 2013 Dodge Dart gets to wear now. The US government has given the vehicle the highest rating in the five-star rating program.

Proving that safety was a major concern for the designers of the Dart, the sedan has passed with flying colors. It received five stars in the front crash test category, five starts in the side crash test category, and four starts in the rollover crash category.

In case you still weren’t’ convinced of the safety of the Dart, then the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety should help that. The Dart earned their Top Safety Pick as well. In order to obtain that, the car must earn good performance in moderate overlap frontal, side, rollover, and rear impact crash tests done by the IIHS.

The safety suite that the Dart boosts includes 10 standard airbags, reactive front head restraints. There’s even optional Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection. With all the combination of ways the Dart is designed to keep you safe, it’s no surprise that it’s the safest vehicle in its class.

Dodge Grand Caravan is the #1 Minivan in America

September was already a good month to be boastful about for the auto industry. Chrysler in particular finished the month much better than expected. Dodge was all smiles about the report, in particular to the news that the 2013 Dodge Dart was really starting to pick up the steam on the sales floor. That wasn’t the only thing, however, that the company would’ve been pleased to find out about because in the minivan category there was another surprise.

The Dodge Grand Caravan is leading the pack of minivans available on the market. It’s placed first for the month with 108,127 units. That places it well above the closest competitor, the Honda Odyssey. At the current rate, there’s no little doubt that it will be the best selling minivan of the year.

The 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan is also on the way. The new minivan will be coming with all sorts of new enhancements to improve on the already winning formula. It will have the lowest starting US MSRP of just $19,995 which is $1,000 less than in 2012. You can purchase the vehicle in all new colors including Blue Streak, Maximum Steel, and Billet Silver. The second-row bench seat will be standard on the AVP model which will also recline, fold, and even is removable for added storage if needed.

New Dodge Dart Aero Announced!

We’ve talked about the Dodge Dart quite a bit here. It might have something to deal with the fact that it’s one of the biggest new cars of the year. There may also be that it’s really starting to heat up on the sales charts, seeing as how it had a great sales increase from the previous month. The Dodge Dart is a hot ticket to talk about when it comes to car news. In order to keep the buzz hot on the new sedan, Dodge has already released details on a new version coming soon.

The Auto Channel has the details of the new Dodge Dart Aero that is planned on being released. The new car will have an advanced 1.4-litered MultiAir intercooled turbo engine. This comes on top of multiple aerodynamic enhancements such as a lightweight aluminum chassis components, an underbody aero kit, and low-rolling resistance tires. All these improvements allow the Dodge Dart Aero to boast about impressive gas economy with 41 miles per gallon on the highway.

Reid Bigland, the President CEO of Dodge summed up the details on the new Dart, “The all-new Dodge Dart is a groundbreaking vehicle, offering features and benefits never before offered in a compact car. The new Dart Aero builds on these attributes by combining a remarkable 41 mpg with interior room of a mid-size and class-leading technology, style and safety, for only $19,295.”
