Dodge has really made an effort to be a major presence at the race. They will be hosting a recovery tent at the race for runners to stretch, mingle, or rest up, and they will also be part of the Health & Fitness Expo. At the expo, they will be showing off the 2012 Durango, Journey, and Challenger, and Dodge will make a donation to charity for every test drive that happens during the expo.
I would love to be in Dallas for the race this weekend, especially considering that so many great charitable organizations are involved, and it is exciting that Dodge is so involved with the race. Good luck to all the runners, and be sure to stop by the Dodge booth to take a test drive for a good cause!

The Catch a Rising Star Swim Clinic will be held at the Colorado Athletic Club in Denver, Colorado on April 28th, and Alan Voisard who has previously coached U.S. Paralympic Medalists will be the special guest trainer. During the clinic, swimmers will learn how to adjust their stroke cadence for higher speeds, improving their technique, building up their core strength, and how to continue training after the clinic.
The Challenged Athletes Foundation helps physically challenged individuals participate in sports activities. Some participants were born with physical impairments while others suffered a traumatic injury and are going through physical therapy. No matter where they come from, though, the Challenged Athletes Foundation gives them the chance to be physically active, achieve their goals, and make new friends, and Dodge is proud to be a part of their April swim clinics.
Dodge is looking to make some enhancements on the popular Dodge Avenger. Not content with having it remain the most affordable and power mid-size car, they want to give the Avenger some new features to really show it off. “The Dodge Avenger is one of the fastest growing mid-size cars in American, with sales up 112 percent this year,” said Reid Bigland, the President and CEO of Dodge Brand.
Autoweek has an article showing off the new Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Avenger SE V6 will be adding many new upgrades to the current design, including the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine. It will also be including other features such as a new brightwork exterior, 18 inch aluminum wheels, rear spoiler, and a dual exhaust.
“We’re building off this momentum with the introduction of the new SE V6 package, delivering a true no compromise solution for the mid-size car buyer – 283 best-in-class horsepower, 29 mpg highway, 18-inch wheels and a rear spoiler – all for just $21,495 MSRP. You get the power, the efficiency, the look and tremendous value that is unmatched in the segment.” Reid continued to say about the Dodge Avenger SE V6.
The Dodge Avenger is already one of the best sedans on the market, but now it’s going to be much more appealing to anyone looking to get more style and performance. Nascar fans, get ready and get excited, because Dodge is planning to debut the new 2013 Dodge Charger at the Sprint Cup series at the Daytona 500 next year. Driving this new Dodge will be Sam Hornish Jr and he was quick to provide the new Charger with praise.
“The car looks the best out of any of the new cars, that’s for sure – nice, sharp lines – and you can see a lot of the street car in the race car. It brings the Charger’s identity back onto the racetrack.”
Hornish was also the first driver to give the 2013 Charger a test drive. He got behind the wheel earlier this year at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. The public will get their first peak at it this upcoming Sunday at the Kobalt Tools 400 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Gas prices were one of the major components in the downfall of the auto industry. When prices sky rocketed to $4.12 in July of 2008, the Big Three weren’t prepared to deal with it by having smaller cars. Instead, the big thing at the moment were the giant gas guzzling SUVs and trucks. Sales went down more than 20 percent compared to Toyota with the fuel efficient Corolla which went up 16 percent.
Now that the auto industry has managed to dig their way out of the hole, they are making sure to not make the same mistake. In order to not repeat mistakes of the past, Dodge is making sure to have choices available to those feeling the pinch at the pump. Buyers are wanting to get the smaller cars now, especially with the constant fluctuation of gas prices. That’s why Dodge is getting ready to let loose with the Dart.
The Dart is designed to target the consumer who wants to get a great vehicle and not spend so much extra fueling it up. Dodge seems to understand that, in these times, the best cars will be the one that doesn’t break the bank at the pump. The best cars will be the ones that make sure the gas station is something seen only in the rear view.
The complete Dodge line up can be viewed online on Bayside’s website. Following them on Facebook and Twitter will get you all the latest offers and news!
